Christmas Cheer

Penultimate yoga class this morning.
I’ve just read that Yoga does nothing for aging. Interesting if you put ‘for’ and ‘aging’ together you get FORAGING aint that what you do when you get older. A bit of a forage here a bit of a mooch there?
Anyway whoever wrote that Yoga does nothing for aging is not a sprightly 65-year-old with a spring in her step.
This morning, despite Solly eating into one of the presents under the Christmas Tree, I ventured out into the damp, grey morning to sweat my way through an hour’s hot yoga.
Then to the post office to send off 40 odd cards – yes I know I’m late, but I haven’t sent cards for years. Now that everybody is dying I thought I would reconnect with the living.

Most of my people are away, Spain, France, Devon, two of my Christmas day diners have pulled out. One has rescheduled for BoxingDay, and one is mopping up the flu.
There are fewer presents under the tree this year, making more room for the bean bag and the Bafta films. I’m still awaiting three of the biggies but I may have to fancy I’ve had it. If you get a chance to see ‘St. Vincent.’ I urge you to go. A real strong ethical weepy.
2014 has been a strange year. Resurrection of telly whilst radio has taken a back seat. I’m determined to create a New Year of fun, work and a lot more party throwing. It may well not happen but the intention is there.
I have set myself several tasks for the New Year including trying to fit in a holiday. Will it happen? Only the angels and ThomasCook know the answer to that.
Right now I have to make a start on my writing. If I put it off any longer the ink will fade.
To all of you HAVE A BLISSFUL CHRISTMAS and GENTLE NEW YEARS EVE.
May 2015 bring us everything we know we deserve.
love and blessings.

  2. Hello Jeni, Yes I’ve been away for the last 3 years but now I’m back…. Just finished watching the Twelve Chefs of Christmas – I loved it.. reminded me of the good old days back in 2006/2007 when GFL was still on our screens and family (My Mum) and friends were still around to put the world (mine at least) to rights. Anyhow, I hope you, Jim and B have a fantastic 2015 – I look forward to you making me laugh and smile at, well, Life….. David (Hymie) Manchester
