I have had a really bad stomach upset over the last two days. Nobody told me that the remedy contained morphine…The result is I am dry of mouth, bleary of eye and concrete of stomach.
The last few days have been a whirlwind of wierdness.
One minute I have a regular rhythm to my life the next I am standing at the gates of Bedlam.
Seka Nicolic was laying her hands on me to get my left leg back to working order after my crazy fall in Battersea Church Street, I had intended to go to her book launch, but the gremlins got into my system and I felt like somebody had crumbled Garibaldi biscuits in my eye-lashes.
Talk about Annus Horribilis; from chipped bones to broken backs, from rattled relatives to bruised hips. From a regular timetable to the announcement that LBC no longer wish me to work for them.
I shall miss my lovely team; all young, intelligent and fiercely loyal. I shall miss the kitchen with their wretched microwaved green beans that I ate in portions of three. I shall miss the banter from the CHOICE FM boys to THE HELP A LONDON CHILD girls. I shall miss my daily walk into Leicester Square and of course I shall miss my thousands of listeners. In 2007 I came in as a radio virgin and left quite the opposite. Although to be fair I dont know what the opposite of a virgin is – since the Popes in town I may just send him an email and ask for some clarity.
After two days in bed and messages from uncredibly supportive work colleagues and friends from as far away as Beverly Hills and as close as Cork. I now face an unstructured future.
In the scheme of things it’s about as important as a gnat on the bum of a rhino, but my little world has been knocked, and I am reeling. I will of course, pick myself up, dust myself off and dance all over again, given the state of my morphine raddled brain, in may take slightly longer than normal.
Today we went to Brighton to take my daughter to a delectable German. Not an ounce of fat on him, white t-shirt, immaculate minimal decor and Ayurvedic wisdom. I’m seeing him on Tuesday so I can get to understand wind, water and why chicken soup really is the food of the Gods.
My feet are cold, the girl’s singing in the attic, the ‘oosbind is stir-frying in the kitchen, the Popes wearing a sparkling gown so all really should be right with the World.
I’m off to nick a pair of woolly socks from the old gits drawer, drink a mug of homeade chicken broth and settle down for Friday night telly.
Thank you all for your lovely messages of support, talk soon.
jeni, i cant believe this, why do these things happen???i have been listening daily to lbc since its inception and i love your programme best. i sound like a stalker when i also tell you i watched good food live too and you made that programme so good to watch. please dont vanish, we need you, you are good fun to have around. be happy in whatever the future holds for you.
It is their loss my lovely lady. And when the cab drivers of london retune to talksport they will realise … ***k them. they were not worthy. Bxxxx
Jeni I am devastated to hear about you leaving LBC. With your talent & warmth & compassion, I am sure you will pop up somewhere else soon – I must just make sure I somehow keep track of you! Am sure you are devastated now but your amazing strength will get you up & running again Wish I knew why they have done this to you but I suppose that will be kept under wraps Will miss you xx
will miss you lots – commiserations to those left in shock

I got back from my 3 days in Brighton on tuesday as on the Monday it was my Dear 87 year old Cousin Beatrice Nell Wilson’s Funeral and it was a sad occasion but it was a lovely service and we had a lovely little Party afterwards at her old Nursing home in home Drive House in Hove. Gordon and i treated ourselves to a lux Suite at a seafront Hotel in Brighton and the views from the Penthouse floor were wonderfull. Im glad you got down to Brighton the other day as it shows you must be feeling better on your Pins now! Hi Jeni,
It’s the first time I’ve post a note on a website and I felt I had to do it… I’ve been listening to you for a long time and really love your energy. And also remember you from the food tv. You’re very special and talented and will be soooo missed… But I’m sure we’ll see or listen to you soon. Take care and all the very best!
Hello Jeni, sorry to hear you’ve been axed so suddenly, reminds me of when Bill Buckley (a favourite of mine)was dumped, then you check the LBC website to find they’ve been completely expunged! All the best, Richard.
Bye! No offence, but your ramblings on LBC were just too predictable..along the lines of ‘pick a subject that will appeal to London’s disaffected minorities and wait for them to call’.
Infuriating to anyone with a brain. But it always came through that most people disagreed with you. And that you just don’t possess the Nick Ferrari attitude to work. You simply cannot let your colleagues down constantly by not turning up for work you silly lady!
Jenny you will be missed in the afternoons. Good Luck
Who do I complain to, I enjoyed your show so much and was just saying the other day how you appeal to such a wide audience. Who will be my afternoon companion now, so mad at lbc!
Sad news sorry you won’t be entertaining me in the afternoon – they must be mad!!! good luck
It’s such a cruel business – but if anyone can get up again, dust herself off and get on with it it’s you. Will miss your personal insights and above all positive attitude to life- and the feminine angle which is sorely lacking on LBC. Best of everything in the future! Love from a loyal listener.
Natasha
Oh Jeni it wont be the same at all without you i’ll miss you terribly and i will have to tune out between 1 & 4pm! you are such a joy to listen to and its a bad move by lbc but im sure bigger and better things are on the horizon. lots of love xxxx
I am sorry to hear of your infirmity, I will miss you on the radio, I look forward to the time when you are on the waves again –
JENI, Iam really going to miss you on radio. You made me laugh most days, cry sometimes and think always. You’ve a palpable integrity, loud and to the point, passionate and open hearted but without hardness and arrogance. WoW, that’s going to be a hard act to follow!!
A great time to rest up and re-group before making your next move…
Love, Light and a Blessed Yom Kippur.
Shalom, LV
…
Good luck Jeni, I will miss your warm sensitivity as I am coming home from lunch “speak to me, lovely” !!
Great u got sacked I’m tuning back to 1-4 now yeehay
Jeni, they were announcing the new LBC line up tonight and I thought where’s Jeni in all this? I am so sorry that I wont be listening to you from 1-4.00pm any more. I hope that something exciting comes up for you soon. Meanwhile keep your feet cosy and enjoy that chicken broth! x
Sad to read of your replacement after seeing that Dale is taking over from Petri. I will miss your afternoon programme and your fun attitude to life together with your irreverend conversation.
Jeni, can’t believe the LBC news – it really is their loss, and I for one, will be be tuning out! You were great, I enjoyed your show, you really inspired me, and your show kept me going through a very bad patch in my life earlier this year, it really did. I often thought of emailing you (didnt have the guts to call the show) to let you know just how much of a help you’d been, but I doubted you’d read the email, and instead I thought you would have a production team to do that for you, so I never did. I hope all is okay with you & the family – they really are the most important things, way more important than any job. Keep smiling & f**k LBC. x
Jeni, Jeni our days and your days will never be the same, i will really miss your show and wish you all the best for whatever comes next. cxx
Has LBC gone mad?? I always tune in to your programme, and nothing against Petrie Hosken, but she’s too stroppy for the afternoon slot. Why do the more entertaining LBC presenters keep disappearing without explanation? And why don’t they drop the pompous, ‘fat-arsed’ Nick Ferrari? They say as one door closes another one opens, and I’m sure this will be true for you x
Oh nooooo!!
Big hugs and bad karma for LBC!
Great – the good news is you are now available for some telly job. Time for your return to our screens, I hope.
xxxxxxxxxGlenn
I am devastated and have just written on yr fb page. Devastated, furious and more. What a bunch of schmucks they must be. Now only Steve and James O to podcast. You are SUCH a loss. Tears.
Jeni
I am gutted by what has happened. You have become like a friend in the radio. I love listening to you and will miss you terribly.
As Margaret said please don’t disappear.
I do hope that B is getting better- what a horrid experience for someone of her age. Glad that the Old Git is there to look after both of you. What a man!
You have weathered storms before. You are a strong woman.
Much love to you
Kate H xxxxx
Hi Jeni, where are you? My partner and I love you on LBC. We’re gutted, well it’s there loss I suppose. Very upset, you were brill. X
What has happened to Jeni Barrnett, sh id the second best presenter on LBC Anthony Davies being the BEST.If anyone is to go PLEASE let it be nasty NIck Magerison. Will have to losten to another station now.
It does seem that LBC change their presenters often at the peak of their popularity. I think you should consider keeping your hand in and launching podcasts on itunes. Very simple to do and it could make you some sort of income too…
Jeni, I haven’t been around for ages, what with one thing & another – right now I’m not even in the country – but I got a chance to stop by your blog today & I am appalled at what I read. Who knew LBC could be so stupid?? I only started listening to the station because of you & now I’ll be tuning into a different station when I get back to Blighty. I’m so sorry you’re having a rough time at the moment, but you WILL be back. In the meantime, I’m sending you huge hugs & lots of love via cyber space.
You’ll be back, we have every faith. You can’t keep a good person down for long
Hi Jeni, I was very sad to hear you are no longer on LBC. I shall miss your comforting voice.
Hi Jeni, i am so sorry to see you go, i must say when you first came to lbc i thought oh no not her but i came to love you over the years and will miss you so much. well they done the same to Anna Raburn. Its there loss we all wish you well in what ever you do love always laraine X
Jeni
I too can’t believe it!
I dust, iron, cook, clean, drive, write shopping lists, clean my oven/kitchen cupboards, tidy drawers, pot bulbs and plants, mend things, sew things, oh the list is endless, all done listening to you. I feel bereft, adrift and ANGRY!!!!
I can’t even begin to imagine how you must be feeling, but remember the old saying, “One door closes and another opens”.
I wish you peace of mind, good health, well being and lots of luck over the next few months Jeni because the last few have certainly been challenging.
Onwards and upwards my darling girl.
Love June
Dearest Jeni
I don’t write very often but have always kept an eye on what you were up to right from early morning TV days thro to GFL and then LBC. As the previous person said it’s their loss. I really enjoyed listening to you and made a point of sitting down in the afternoons with a cup of tea. I won’t do it any more. Hey,I’ve got my afternoons back! Hope we see you again soon on TV, I’m sure someone will snap you up. Lots of love.
Angi
Dearest Jeni,
I am so distraught LBC let you go.
Do not worry, I have sent in my complaint and have just messaged Ken Livingston to get you back, if he does get you back, I shall vote for him to be Mayor again.
Your shows were wonderful and meant so much to me.
I am a proper Londoner and love this city so much and the way you enthused about it, and spoke so beautifully about it was a true inspiration to me. Jeni Barnett you are one brilliant lady, thankyou, thankyou, THANKYOU. I shall not let LBC get away with this.
Joe Borowski, South London
Oh Jeni
how sad! My heart goes out to you, I truly am in shock and utter disbelief. You have seen me through good times and bad, your voice stopped me feeling lonely and helped me decorate my house. You truly will be missed. One of a kind, a true honest soul full of love. don’t give up! Your little world will turn around again I promise. Love to you, B and the old
git x
Sorry to see you go. Good luck. I fund your replacement unbearable so back to Elmsy!
Hi Jeni I am new to your blog but just to say that I am sorry that you will no longer be on LBC and feel sad that it was done so quickly and without any warning(well thats my assumption anyway)! Maybe Seka laying her hands on you has led to a detoxing of your body and a clearing and cleansing of things that you didnt need anymore and that is why the bad stomach upset? As you know with healing that is often the case. Take Care A x
ps. My cousin has a farm and vineyard just down the road from you ! x
The Pope on his trip to Glasgow faces being sung to by Susan Boyle, sparing Divine Intervention, which he might be praying for 🙂
Jeni I have to say I am SO incredibly shocked and saddened by this. I literally just found out by reading the LBC email newsletter (for a change). Announcements of new presenters and someone moving into your time slot. A huge mistake, in my opinion. I am saying my prayers that as this door closes even better ones open for you. It’s LBC’s loss – but I am hoping we hear you again over the airwaves very soon! You have a lot of support and love out here in the ether dear lady. I’ll have to find someone else to listen to as I work from home – it won’t be LBC… You are just so much fun and have such a positive vibe – qualities which are very much needed and especially on talk radio during the day! It seems to me you were handed a very raw deal. *huggles* and best wishes.
Why don’t LBC give more notice to their presenters? Are they afraid you’ll mess up your last few shows if you know in advance? Surely the presenters are professionals and would continue to work as such even after receiving notice of termination?
I was gutted when I heard you were no longer at LBC. You will be greatly missed, as I’ve always enjoyed your empathic stance and feminine perspective. I think that LBC will be poorer without your contributions on side-lined interests like homeopathy, astrology, etc. I doubt that any other presenters will give these interests any air-time. I guess I’ll have to switch over from LBC to BBC Radio Four 3 hours earlier than usual from now on. I hope you bounce back soon, Jeni. All the best!
While I rarely listened to you as I was at work, what I love about you is the way that the sad losers who frequent Digital Spy forums used to rail against you because, God forbid, you refused to conform to “Their standards”, happy with listening to bitter old “presenters” who did nothing but rehash their bile day in, day out while, all the time, refusing to take calls just in case they were challenged on that fact.
The bottom line is you are better out of that poisonous place, onwards and upwards, get better soon and I’m sure a very much better class of work will turn up when you’re up and about.
im shocked and feel that lbc has yet again let us all down its becoming to right wing and has no time for us. all we get is letcherd too by the new crop of presenters that seem to be so intune with the goverment it makes me wonder how pays for them lbc or the goverment. you on the otherhand was fair kind warm and just a wonderfull person i wish you all the best jeni love you xx
Or as my malapropic friend says
as soon as one door closes another windows opens ! Much funnier!
Jeni – can’t believe you’ve gone from LBC. I am freelance now (similarly experienced shock redundancy last year) and listening to your lovely straightforward heartwarming lunchtime show has become my daily ritual. Shocked also because I have missed your last 2 days, as I have been working in the outside world. You will bounce back and if it’s any help, I did a positive thinking course – it dovetailed from the time I was told my ‘role may be removed’ to when I went – which got me into an amazing state of mind and made me truly believe that there is life beyond what’s gone before and you will be better for this experience. Even if it doesn’t feel like it now. Good luck.
Hi Jeni….I was so shocked to hear the news that you will no longer be on LBC. In my opinion, your show was by far the best in their schedule. You will be missed. I do hope we will all get the opportunity to hear/see you broadcast in the near future. I wish you good luck with any new venture. Many blessings to you.
Very sad to hear that you are not returning to LBC! Their loss (and ours). I hope the future is bright for you!
Love Bridgetxx
Woke up so depressed about this news today. So sad not to hear your lovely uplifting voice every week day anymore, don’t wish to think about it. They are schmucks and the ghastly people who have taken the trouble to find your blog and write hideous things at this painful time are schmucks too. Shame on the them. Love you Jeni x
Dearest Jeni
I was both shocked and horrified when my husband told me you had ‘left’ LBC. I used to listen to you every day that I could. I have laughed with you, cried with you and sometimes shouted with you lol. I am so angry, this is not the first time they have ‘got rid’ of people just like that! Jeni, please post on here when you move on to pastures new but for now have time to sit back, relax and take time for you, jim and B
take care my darling,
lots of hugs, Michele, an avid listener and friend xx
p.s Maybe it’s time to write the book! xx
No way! what a shock!
No notice.
No chance to say goodbye.
No good.
Tisha and Dardar
Hello Jeni
I’m so shocked and feel very sad for myself and the other listeners to your fantastic shows. You have been a true inspiration to the London airwaves and you will be sorely missed. I would often tune in and loved finding out what interesting topic would be grabbing each hour of your show. Petrie Hosken?! Tut Tut LBC!
I wish you every success in your new venture and hope that we will hear you cuddling London’s airwaves once again.
All the very best…Suzi xx
Wow what a shock, I will miss you so much, my afternoons will not be the same. Your show has kept me company whilst I recover from cancer, we did talk once when I called your show, you have been the only radio presenter to make me feel so strongly about a subject that I just had to call to discuss (what is it about sisters that don’t get on) anyway I am sure that you will find a new show on a new station, leave it in the hands of the angles.
all the best for the future
Wendy
My dear Jeni, Jeni with an ‘I’ shock shock horror!!! What is wrong with these up-tight, pumped-up arrogant self-important egomaniacs, my husband (who’s been listening to that staion since the days of Brian Hayes) and I are still reeling in anger since finding out half an hour ago about your untimely depature from london’s big-headed creatures club, they finally realised that you are worth more than anything they have to offer. We will never listen to that station again!!! It’s their loss and please start writing ‘that book’, we can’t wait to buy and read it. More Grace to you my darling, love to B and gentleman Jim, SHALOM!!!
Dear Jenni I only found out yesterday, when it was casually dropped into a phone conversation that you have been replaced at LBC.I couldn’t believe it!! I heard you sign off on Wed with no mention it was your last show and James O’brien said the next day you were ‘indisposed’ and Petrie was standing in. What a shock I will really miss you in the afternoons i’d always make sure i was sitting with a cuppa at 1.15 if i couln’t listen at home i would make sure my ipod was fully charged so I could listen to you on my travels. Good luck Jenni I am sure you will soon be back on the airwaves, just make sure you let us know where! LBC are outa their heads letting you go!
Im a black, muslim, one legged single parent.. on the dole, with no money, a ‘life’s not fair’ attitude, a big chip on my shoulder, and I will miss your show.
You truly were a voice for us, because you knew it was the only way you could get people to call your show.
I cant believe they sacked you. Why? What did you do wrong?
I loved your show and went to your live shows too. Are you doing more of them?
Have you any idea what you will be doing next to pay the mortgage?
Hope to see or hear you soon. Let us know where and when.
Love you x
I was shocked yesterday when my colleague William told that you’re no longer part of the LBC schedule. I must say that as much as I like some of the other presenters, your voice is warm and calming, at the same time firm and no nonsense. You are a broadcaster that is impossible to turn over from because of the subject matters.
LBC should by now know who their best broadcasters are. And for them to omit you from that is pathetic! It p…es me off when the boss of a radio station gets rid of talent. And that’s what you are. Talent! Yet they decide to keep certain presenters on who in my opinion don’t make the grade! You didn’t even get the opportunity to say goodbye to
legions of listeners out there. I hope the powers that be read all of these messages. Because I guarantee one thing, Talksport will gain a lot of new listeners!
Amazing. LBC has TWO women presenters, gets rid of the best one and replaces her with a man who isn’t very good anyway. How the hell did he wangle that job??
I miss you already Jeni, and wish you all the very best for the future. I loved your show and presentation style – friendly but with authority, credibility and integrity.
Petrie is just too ranty and angry for the afternoon slot, her moaning winds me right up!
I just found out today that you are no longer on LBC anymore!. Why??. LBC have made a mistake!, I have listened to you for years, on and off looking for work and I shall miss you!!! xx
Gosh jenny i never knew you had this website and i actually had to ring LBC to see if you was ok-they told me you was sick and thats why you had gone not that they DIDNT want you no more i cannot stand petri hoskins so lbc has lost me!!!!dnt worry jen ur be back!!!!!much love sarah
I could not stand you on telly, but your radio
personality changed that!!!
You talked about subjects
relevant to yourself…
which is about life and
its struggles as all of us
who listen relate to.
Now we have a lot of inane
repetitive morons talking to
themselves on trivial items!
I enjoyed your `loose women`
type candour about your family
and associates.
London BBC94.9 should grab you
while you`re available!
Love ya,honey! Will miss ya!
It is with great sadness that I write this. I found out this afternoon when I tuned into Lbc as I most often do while out on my visits as a community mental health worker. So sorry to hear you have gone with no oppurtunity for an ending or a goodbye. Weirdly your replacements topic of conversation was abortions and womens choice today. It feels like you have been terminated in such a harsh way leaving you and your dedicated listeners no choice either!
I hope you will be back soon elsewhere, I will not be tuning into Lbc again either. Thank you so much for keeping me sane and giving me good company between my difficult visits! Don’t know what I’ll do without you.
You are a true star x
Thank the lord you have gone! There should be no place in society for idiots like you! 13 years of a left wing government destroying this country only for you to promote the same uneducated bile. A Blogger was absolutely spot on to suggest your work ethic is totally in keeping with your stupid and dangerous political values whereas Nick Ferrari has a work ethic in line with a party that supports hard work and dismisses lazy feckless scroungers that you so passionately champion. You idiot
Jeni
I am shocked and devastated to learn about what has happened to you. I loved you and your show. You were a breath of fresh air in the stuffy world of radio. I cannot believe they have done this, not only to you, but to all of us, your adoring listeners.
I hope some other more sensible radio station take you on board, I bet their ratings will triple in a moment!
Good luck in the future, I will keep looking out for you, hoping to find you over the airways again soon.
As for LBC, I won’t be tuning in to them anymore. A company that treats their loyal staff in this way does not get my vote, or listening ears.
Ellen
I am in no doubt that there will be something wonderful around the corner for you Jeni. Your time at LBC was precious and so much that is positive has come from it. Focus on that and not the poor behaviour of a few at LBC! Think what you would probably be saying to one of your callers – ‘Everything happens for a reason, be thankful for all the good stuff, TRUST, and first and foremost, take care of all aspects of your health!’ etc…
Love and a big hug from another 61 year old who has survived many a knock. I wish we could have a cup of tea together!! xx
will miss you jeni you kept me company in my ears, while i was doing boring cleaning and ironing for folks. bright intelligent your compation made me cry sometimes, you have right on yourside and you will soon be snapped up.look after the old git.love and hugs.lindaxxxx
I listen to Jeni’s show most days and was quite alarmed to discover that the show had been cancelled – but the reason I feel compelled to add to the comments on this blog is my alarm at the bilious nature of the (thankfully few) negative comments on this page.
Nobody’s forcing you to love Jeni (or any other radio presenter for that matter) but for goodness’ sake have some humanity!
There’s dozens of people I dislike and disagree with on the planet but I would never wish ill upon them!
Personally I wish Jeni well and I’m sure those who did enjoy listening to her won’t have long to wait before she’s ou there doing something else.
oh boy!!!, i have returned from holiday and as usual have lbc as the backgroud to my working day, it took a while to realise there was something really not right. i have had to look you up on the internet to see where you are. i cannot believe this, i have not been able to find out the reason why they have let you go?, why?, are they stupid?? you have such a personal touch, a real sense that you care, Petrie’s style is ‘flat’ she just presents, no passion. Jeni, i am so sorry this has happened, karma and all that!!!, something will come up, i promise you. As for LBC, i have stopped listening to Ferrari,he interferes with my digestion in the morning!!! i now only listen to James O’Brien who i love, then for the first time ever!!!….i now switch to the other chat show in London….maybe they have a vacancy????, take care, remain positive and i hope to bump into you one day at the buddah….i live just over the bridge, love it there. kathy.x.x.x
have to say im glad your gone from lbc, people like you are what is wrong with the world. good ridance
When they moved Nick Abbott I thought that was stupid. Now this is ridiculous.
Byb bye Jenny, and bye bye LBC for me.
No disrespect to Petri, but what were they thinking?
Jeni I shall miss you very much, I listened to you often from New Hampshire USA on the web. I really enjoyed your shows, your personality and loved your personal stories. I wish you all the best.
I have just returned from a week in Cornwall and cannot believe it. I am so, so sorry Jeni. There are many others I would prefer to have gone instead. Bill Buckley left and left a hole in my listening, now you. I miss you already. It only leaves James O’Brien, Clive Bull and Steve Allen and I will have to revert to Radio 4. Think I might do that anyway after the way you have been treated! My very best wishes. We all love you. Anne
I am GUTTED, really loved listening to your show, cant believe LBC, what were they thinking????!!!!
Hopefully we will hear you back on the airwaves very soon, it would be mad for someone not to snap you up straight away, better still, they should have you as a presenter on daybreak, you would be far better than the current presenters! Onwards & upwards from here. Good luck & keep your pecker up xx
Jenny, for days now I just thought that you must be on holiday and that Petrie Hosken was just standing in. How wrong I was. Only last week my friends and I talked about how your show keeps us sane in the afternoons and how wonderful you are. I’m so sorry to hear that you were forced out. What were they thinking?! The only person now worth listening to daytime is James O’Brien and David Mellor when he guests for James Whale. I no longer listen between 1-4 and tune in elsewhere. I’m hoping that your broadcasting career is not over and that I will find you on a different frequency in the very near future.
Heartfelt best wishes,
Antonia
I cannot believe you have gone but just had to find out today. They must be mad at LBC – there are so many crap presenters on that station. I remember you from the TV gardening days with Roddy Llewellyn (sorry about spelling). I and my partner will miss you terribly. Chin up lass, hope something comes up for you – I got kicked out of life at 54 and I’m still around 7 years later.
Hi J starting listening to LBC over a yr ago and myself and 3yr old daughter loved u!!!! Was gob smacked when i was told by my boyfriend you werent there anymore!! Take care wishing u a speedy recovery x Its so their loss what were they thinking of MADNESS
I wondered where you had disappeared too.so I checked lbc’s presenter’s page and found you were no longer on it.so I searched on google and found this site.
I am made up your no longer on there as I alway’s turned the radio off when you came on air anyway. Now lets hope that Cristo is next as I cant stand listening to him either.
Why can it be that CNN fires Rick Sanchez, and yet Laura Schlessinger’s horribly hurtful responses are allowed.
Jeni, can’t believe that they got rid of you and put “Patronising Petrie” in your spot. That womens tones do not suit your afternoon slot.
I will be petitioning
You brought equilibrium and a voice of common sense to LBC. Such a shame your humanitarian voice will not be heard on it anymore.
I just couldn’t believe that you had the cheek to go on holiday for so long, and began to get a worrying feeling yesterday when Petrie again – NOOOOOO. So I checked out the web site and you have gone. You got me through depression when I would gaze through my kitchen window and wonder how I could go on, but at least I could listen to you until I had to pick up the kids. Things have to change it sucks, but keep counting your luckly stars, hug your loved ones and you WILL come through. Thanks for your company for the last few years and email hugs, would have liked to have met you personally, chin up Jeni.
A poem for Jeni:
Jeni you were the best presenter on LBC,
Suddenly replaced by that ladie, Petrie,
I still so miss your slots from 1-4,
Im so upset that I hear you no more,
I loved LBC but its not quite the same,
Whoever made that decision needs the cane!
Our funny Jewish lady whisked away
We wish to hear you again, one day.
Chantel, Bromley
Jeni, I’ve only just found out that they’ve cancelled your fab, fab show on LBC – they must be mad!! I’d assumed you were away but when once again it was Petrie whatsitsname, I had to google to find out where you were. I loved listening to you and loved your views and enthusiastic take on life, I’ll really miss you. There must be lots of other radio stations out there who would love to have you. Best of luck. Jules, Bromely
