Don’t na do it Donna

Never fails to amaze me how people, who don’t like me, still read my blog, or find the time to track me down. If you dont like me, or disapprove of me Donna and Paul, please refrain from writing to me.
I have published all my blogs, warts and all, since I feel it is my duty to tell the truth. But sometimes it makes me hurt. It’s not my way to censor people. But hey ho, each to their own. I’m off now to eat a spartan breakfast, wearing a sack and ashes. Does that make you feel better Donna….

  1. Ii tend to agree with Donna, maybe a little self-awareness is needed, Jeni? I wish you well but you can’t have your cake and eat it! Best wishes for a peaceful weekend.

  2. I think you have to understand, or at least recognise that people find your blog to be full of inconstencies. Given that you invite people to comment on your daily musings, you can hardly complain when people choose to take you to task surely? Your recent sudden departure from LBC resulted in a great deal of sob-storytelling on your part. You told us how you were worried about your financial situation and that your lovely landlord has given you a two month rent break while you “Look for work”. You then tell us that youre booking a family holiday to Costa Rica, employ both a gardener and a cleaner and are still to be found swanning around London, often in cabs, attending your many alternative and no doubt expensive therapy sessions.
This is all while youre entire family run three properties, two of them in the capital, exercising their various creative endeavors #I know your daughter is ill at present# and not anything resembling a “proper job” between the lot of you. This is entirely your right of course, you can do what you like and good luck to you – I am envious. But for people who are GENUINELY in financial difficulty it rankles. Dont you see?
You proported to be a strong supporter of the “underclasses” #your description# when you were on radio. How about having some respect for them now youve been sacked?

  3. Hi Jen! It’s lovely to catch up on all your gossip,i read your blog everyday it makes up for not hearing you on LBC, i know I’m sad! when will we see you back on Loose Women? is their a chance of that happening do ya think? or perhaps being a lady of leisure has given you a taste of freedom? Oh well Jeni! i shall keep logging on and enjoying readind your daily news, only cos my life is as not as full as yours. Jill. xxx

  4. Hi Jenni – I LOVE your blogs, keep writing them please!!
It’s the next best thing to hearing you on the radio – and a book written in a similar way to your blogs would be really good too.
Love hearing about your life, and where you are being inspired to go next.
    Lots of love to you
    Vicky

  5. There are lots of nasty people in this World Jeni …. take no notice of them.
I love reading your blog …. your energy inspires me.

  6. You were wonderful on LBC and even better at your live shows. Now I only have your blog to keep in touch with you.
Please keep writing it. Keep your chin up and have a great holiday.

  7. Jeni, I listened to a lot of your shows, and I think you’re a nice person, but in the past year or so, I’ve found myself having to switch off out of sheer irritation! Your main problem was that you tried to mix the serious things with what others have called the “fluffy” stuff, and it didn’t work. The MMR thing was just one example.
Don’t get uppity with people who criticise you, unless they’re rude about it. We all have to sit back sometimes and take stock, and realise that maybe we DID do things the wrong way, and sometimes other people do actually have a point! Once you get to that realization, you can learn and move on. Ditch the “fluffy” rubbish, shamans, angels, crystals, etc., etc., though, they won’t help. When it comes down to it, you can only rely on yourself and your own resources. I wish you well.

  8. Hi Jeni:
Really really missing your show I emailed LBC and they told me you had left due to a schedule change. You are so bubbly keep blogging. Ignore the nasty people they need to get a life.

  9. Dear Jeni,
I loved listening to your show on LBC and enjoyed the diverse mix of subjects discussed. Your passion and your honesty was evident. I do not agree with absolutely everything I hear on LBC, but then I have my own views and that is what comes out of a conversation or debate. So why you should be condemend for your views is beyond me. BTW – Tony Blair put MMR back permanently by advocating the vaccination but not stating whether Leo had been given it. If you have any greater influence than he did maybe you should look to No 10 for your next job. 🙂
Everything happens for a reason, so here is to the next stage of your life. I can only imagine it will be filled with love, happiness and a generous pinch of ‘fly by the seat of your pants’ moments that make you ‘you’.

  10. Gosh, have only stumbled on your page by accident. I didn’t realise you had left LBC and thought that you must be on holiday. Just checked the LBBs page and most saddened to discover you’ve gone! I really loved your show and although I’m so glad I can catch-up with you on your blog will very much miss listening to you.

  11. Jeni,
I, too, have been wondering why Petrie is on in your place, I thought it must be holiday or sickness. I am so sorry that you are no longer on LBC. Not much point in listening anymore, in my opinion.
    Good luck with everything.
    All the best,
Cathy from Crawley (you spoke to me twice on LBC)
